Shrigandha Swastya Program, Hiriyabbe           Greetings to everyone, Last Saturday, 31 January 2026, Shrigandha Foundation visited the Government High School at Hariyabbe, Hiriyur Taluk, Chitradurga District, and conducted a health awareness program for students. During the program, all participating students (both boys and girls) were educated about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, consuming nutritious food, and following healthy lifestyle habits. The importance of meditation in improving concentration was also explained, and students were guided through a meditation session. Special emphasis was given to menstrual hygiene for the girls of the high school and pre-university college. Doctors explained the physical changes that occur during adolescence, the importance of using clean sanitary products, and maintaining hygiene to prevent infections. The workshop aimed to eliminate common misconceptions about menstruation and encourage open discussions in a respectful environment. The visit proved to be informative and helped students understand essential health practices necessary for overall well-being and healthy living. In addition, reusable Ladli sanitary pads worth approximately Rs. 30,000 were distributed to the high school girls, encouraging them to adopt healthy and eco-friendly reusable products. Shrigandha Foundation proudly acknowledges the selfless service of Dr. Rashmi Prashant Patange for her contribution towards social service. We also extend our gratitude to the school teachers who, without informing the doctor, presented an honorarium of Rs. 2,000, and to the doctor who generously donated the same amount back to Shrigandha Foundation.
