EDUCATION
Shrigandha Foundation is working towards upliftment of Educational System.
Out primary focus area is government girls high schools which are located in the rural parts of Karnataka.
Apart from donating note books, pens, pencils, geometry boxes, dictionaries, grammar books Shrigandha Foundation is also committed in providing a better school infrastructure which are very much essential for students and teachers. Shrigandha foundation is involved in providing plates and tumblers, sanitary pads for girls, bags, books and School uniforms to students. We have provided water purifiers, mathematics labs, constructed toilet to schools. We also run Kalikaa Kendra for rural students to teach and train them on the ethics, culture and diversity programs which are very much essential in this modern society. We do conduct our traditional festivals like Sankranti, Yugadi, Dasara, Deepavali and many more.
Our primary focus is high school children covering 8th grade, 9th grade and 10th grade. For SSLC students, we conduct free coaching classes which would help the needy students to get better grades in the public exams. We also identify good, competent, bright students from the economically weaker section and help them to continue their education in Pre-University college. Our team visits needy students house and conduct a thorough evaluation before extending the support. For PUC students, we provide books, arrange for college fees, and help in transportation facilities (helping them to get bus passes, arranging alternate transportation).
During their PUC, we help our students through Sankalp and prepare them for CET exams by conducting online trainings. This would help rural students to compete with urban students and get better scores in pre-university college.
Based on students interest, dedication and commitment we help students to continue their higher education in the field of Engineering, Medicine, Commerce, Science, Diploma, Arts, Doctorate etc., We provide scholarships to needy students and pay their partial / full admission fee, hostel fees, and provide them books. These students are regularly monitored and supported till they complete their education. We also provide them regular mentoring as they are first generation learners in their family / village / town.
We conduct regular career counselling, SKILL development programs, leadership training and help them till they get placed in a private / public / multi-national company. Once they complete their education, they will also be part of Shrigandha Foundation and start continuing the work. |
